What do you recommend for a strum pattern for this? It's Part of the rhythm for Rush's working man. I tried to play it just straight up and down but it doesn't sound right. Should I play the E5 notes with a accent and strum them down and then alternate on the open E? Tempo is 80.
E||----------------------------------|----------------------------------||
B||----------------------------------|----------------------------------||
G||----------------------------------|----------------------------------||
D||--2-----2-----2-----2-2-2-2---2---|--2-----2-----2-----2-2-2-2---2---||
A||--2-----2-----2-----2-2-2-2---2---|--2-----2-----2-----2-2-2-2---2---||

I don't know the song but, looking at the tab, I would play it with all down strokes.

Yeah, you know the song, unless you've been living under a bridge for the las 25 years. Here is a guitarpro output(first little bit) so you can tell what the song is and one of the rhythm. They sound bad cause it's midi but you will get the idea.

I'm not gonna lie, that wasn't much help, sorry.

I would still play it all down strokes and if you want, D-U-D-U when you play the Em 4 times.

Actually I'd do downs on the single E's and ups on the Em
