Im thinking about getting a new les paul and it says they have great sustain. what is that exactly?

Sustain is simply how long strings keep ringing after you strike them.

Lots of sustain is great for bends and such...If your feeding back in the right spot on the stage you can sustain for days. Has anyone seen Buddy Guy do this? I saw it on the SRV tribute DVD.
