I have recently been giving some thought to switching from playing righty to playing lefty. I have accumulated a couple of finger injuries over the years on my fretting hand, but my strumming hand is good.
I actually flipped my guitar over and was amazed at how much more of a stretch I got from my right hand. It also felt more relaxed.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with making the change and if so what were your experiences? I've only been playing a couple of years so I am still a beginner.

I don't have any experience switching between left and right handed as far as guitars go....I am left handed AND right handed but, I play guitar right handed.
In the end, it all comes down to what is comforable to you. In your case, it sounds like it worked out for the best (having more reach that is).
