I started learning guitar a few weeks ago and am picking up on open chords scales etc. My biggest issue is playing in time with the song, not just the speed issue but also the beat of the song. I was wondering if anyone knew of any software that migh be of help with this. So that I could play my geetar through the computer and perhaps slow down the songs? Or of any other way that might help me,

What is a metronome? Do you know of software that would emulate that?

Hello!
I'm not sure what you mean by slowing down the songs, but I did stumble across a strange tool, which from the description sounds like you put the cd in and hook your guitar up too, put on the headphones, and the sound output for both the guitar and cd come out. It also has a built in metronome.
I'll post a link to the one I found

There is shareware available that will allow you to slow the tempo of a song down without changing it's key.
