Been using Winamp setup posted earlier to try and transcribe some songs to train my ear up a bit.....
So far I've managed interpretations of....
Sweet home Alabamah by Skynard
Jim by Faith No More
Both good songs are worth an attempt to do - noted down what I thought was being played completely before going to any tab sites etc to compare notes - results have been good so far :)
Any other suggestions of clean sounding and beginnerish songs to try?
I know my friend did Pinball Wizard, but she has a ton of music experience. I guess it's worth a shot though, right?

Start with simple tunes you really know. Like Christmas tunes, traditionals, anthems, those kind of things.
