Hi all.I have been learning the caged chords and i have been switching between them.I have also learned a few minor chords as well.Any suggestions on what i should practice next.I know I need to take lessons, but right now I just don't have any free time.Should I work on Scales? If so,where do i start?Just don't know where to go from here.Thank you in advance for any tips or suggestions.

Put the chords to use in some easy songs and if you are interested in singing, try to sing along with the song... Then find other songs with barre chords and move out of the open position... Scales are good to, but pick two or three forms and stick to them for a while.

I'll only be down there (in the basement practicing) for a couple of minutes or so...

I agree with Luv Gilmour... just play a few songs with chords you know... and play some with some chords you don't know. This will increase your chord vocabulary
