I recently got my first guitar, i'm 16 and really wanted to learn how to play. After searching online endlessly I finally decided on a zager zad-50 from http://www.zagerguitars.com and wow, I can truly say that I love this guitar. It looks incredible, plays better than any of my friends guitars (even the ones at the music store) and sounds great. I would recommend it to anyone.

but now I have a question, as for right now I am semi-self taught (i'm going to take lessons from a family friend over the summer) but I found these online lessons http://www.zentao.com/guitar and I was wondering if any of you out there could tell me if all the theory and stuff is correct so I don't dig myself into an early hole.

Yes, its right, but guitarnoise is what I'd reccommend over that. 8)

my beef with the guitarnoise lessons are that they aren't really itemized to know which ones to read first, so it is more hit or miss i guess

Your wrong if you've looked.
Start with this: https://www.guitarnoise.com/topics/absolute-beginner/
The this: https://www.guitarnoise.com/topics/guitar-basics/
Then the next etc. its on the right side of this: https://www.guitarnoise.com/lessons/
Then you move onto the Intermediate section, then the Advanced section.
Its that simple really. Happy playing! 8)

A quick glance suggests it's reliable. I've seen other forum members recommend it as well.
