ABOUT A GIRL
Tuning:Standard
*The main riff is easy to play with alternate picking (seen on the pattern down)
with hitting more bottom strings with every downstroke and the top strings with every upstroke.
Play just open strings w/every second upstroke. And let everything ring out.

Excellence song.
If you can add the “words and chord changes†it would be almost ready for the data-base.
I know that's a lot of work, but when people are just starting out, and trying sing and play at the same time is hard to do. I haved know some people that had played a long time and still can't do this very well.
This is what are songs will have that the other tab sites don't have. This helps out so much.
Its all about being able to PLAY and SING a whole song. Put into an easy to read format. And the simpler the better. (Could I use a capo and play just open chords)? The song doesn't have to sound just like the CD. It just has to sound enough like the song so that you can tell what is being played.
Some of the GN members can take a hard to play lick and interpolate (is that the word I'm looking for?) it into something easy to play, and its still sounds OK. This kind of help from the more advance players, that would be greatly appreciated.
You also have a lot of chords that we don't see very often. Maybe a chord map would help.
Keep up the good work!
-Bull
Are you working on this Musi? Cause if not I could type out a tab for it. It's a song I know quite well (for my standard at least)
It has some power chords though, don't know if they fit into this easy song database. Thoughts anyone?
I say, charge ahead, Elvis. Bull will probably agree with me.

Hope its correct and enjoy :)

ok, i'm trying to learn this song and i got a tab that has 2 wierd chords in it, how do you finger these chords?
x46650
244300
x46650
use index on a string(fret 4) midle on B string (fret 5) ring on D string (fret 6 top) and pinky on G string (fret 6 down)
Dont bar with your index finger, just use it on 4th fret and mute the top string with it too ( I use my thumb, but I think it's not thecnically well done)
for the chord '244300' use the same shape
Hope this helps
yeah it does help and thanks man. :)
I played it several times alongside the cd and I guess this is the complete pattern
verse: D /du /du /du with change half measure between Em and G
bridge: that's a bit tricky
start with a measure split between C and G played with D/du/D/du pattern, then a measure of F played with D/du/u/du pattern, repeat it a second time, then a measure of E played with D/D/du/du pattern and end it with a measure of A and C played with a du/du/u/du pattern but with the change anticipated to the second beat so it will be
A : du/d
C:u/u/du
and then go back with the Em, G progression with the verse pattern
So the song is not so simple as it may sounds 'cause it involves four different patterns, half-measure chord changes, antcipation in the bridge
