Beatles - I Feel Fine

A fairly simple Lennon/McCartney song - straightforward chords,
a nice easy intro and a pretty simple solo - this may not be bang
on the momey, but it'll get you there or thereabouts, and it's
instantly recognisable.

OK, a couple of things - the notes in brackets, you hardly play
them - they're almost "ghost notes" - for example, the first note
played - fifth fret, G string - you hit it and immediately hammer
on to the 7th fret. Same with the first note of the second section,
hit the 7th fret on the G string and slide quickly down to the
fifth. The chords above the tab are what a second guitar would be
playing.

Then into the verse....

(At this point I'd recommend you use your pinky, 2nd and 3rd fingers
to form the G chord - there's another fill here, the reason for this
fingering will soon be obvious...)

I usually end it by hitting a G6 chord after the 3rd repetition,
the easiest way is like this....

but I prefer this.....

Again, I'm not sure if this is in the right key....but it's the
way I worked it out to play in the pub one night, and I think
there should be (strictly speaking) a few more 7ths rather than
major chords - but if you use the majors, it's easier to change
to those fills....and it's a bit easier to play, and this is,
after all, supposed to be an EASY songs forum....the way I've
tabbed it out should make it easy for anyone to play the whole
thing straight through on one guitar......

Give it a try, anyway see what you think....

Good one Vic,

As I said on an earlier post I'm having a job keeping up with all these new offerings. Please keep them coming and I'll do what I can to learn them and maybe find time to add some more here myself.

Thanks Vic. As a youngster in November 1964 I was the "fifth caller" on a radio contest and won a single of my choice as a prize. I had heard the new single by the Beatles only once and requested "And I'm Fine" :oops: Even though I had the name messed up, I knew the feedback and opening riff were awesome. This was the first Beatles' record I owned and was followed by purchases of everything they did before and since (including the "butcher cover"). This has always been a favorite of mine and I can't wait to get on it! Thanks again!

I was looking through the index earlier - and though we have a lot of Beatles songs, we only have about half (if that!) of the single releases (Come Together/Something was a double A-side over here) - any volunteers to get the full set? I know "All My Loving" - the one with the augmented chord.....and Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields - OK, who's gping to step up and do the rest?

Love me Do is a simple 3-chorder -Please Please Me and She Loves You aren't that hard.....any volunteers to help finish the singles collection by, say, Xmas?

C'mon people - let's work together! (As Canned Heat once said .......)

Vic, I've been working on some Beatles' "non-singles" acoustic stuff . . . but in the spirit of co-operation I could do "A Hard Day's Night" and the flipside, "Things We Said Today" (which is a personal favorite). Also, I could do "You Can't Do That" which was the flipside to "Can't Buy Me Love". If anyone else has these or wants to do them that's okay with me :lol:
