Another nice acoustic song from Oasis.

Those in the UK should be familiar with the tune if you've ever watched the Royle Family.

Strumming pattern is the old favourite dduudu except:

On the chord progressions C to C/B where there are two down stokes each on these two chords.
Also at the end of the chorus for the Fmaj7 and the Fm this is held for two measures and for the second measure I just strum a lazy dududu

OK on to the chords, looks a lot but the progressions are nice and easy.

C C/F C/B Am D7 E7 D7sus2 G5 G5/F Fmaj7 Fm
E X X X X X 0 X 3 X X 1
A 3 X 2 0 X 2 X X X 3 3
D 2 2 X 2 0 2 0 0 3 3 3
G 0 0 0 2 2 1 2 0 0 2 1
B 1 1 1 1 1 3 1 3 3 1 1
E 0 0 0 0 2 0 0 3 3 0 1

The Fm is a barre but as you're almost there with the Fmaj7 the change should be fairly painless, well apart from the G string ;-)

Yeah, nice job. fingers .....

Seen this tabbed a few different ways - I actually use the Fmaj7 instead of the C/B throughout, and where there's a change from |C to C/B then Am, I use a G chord for the C/B - just as effective, and twice as easy....

I still like Oasis, and I loved the Royle Family - so much like my own dear family....except I'm usually in front of the computer rather than the TV.....

Oh and welcome to GN by the way....yay! another Brit.....

:D :D :D

Vic

Yeah i play it like that too - but have also seen it tabbed a number of ways.

Oasis, interesting isn't it how bands come and go fashion wise. I hear that their last album os one of their best in years, yet it hasn't done particularly well commercially (in comparison).

Good band, can really work a crowd.

All the best

Matt

Thanks for presenting this, its excellent. However, I find it hard to mute notes, something I must work on, so I have tweaked this slightly (based on all your hard work!) to make it easier for me... Not sure how to present it as neatly as you did, so I'll just copy and paste and hope it comes out kind of okay. Might give people some options to pick and choose between the two. regards,

Rich.
