Ok this time I post an early Kiss classic “Goin' blindâ€, a beautiful, melodic song, originally to be found in the “Hotter than Hell†album but probably best-known for the “MTV unplugged†rendition. A friend of mine watching the MTV unplugged video learnt the chords and then teached them to me so I'm not 100% sure about them but I tried them and they sound quite good to me.
Chords:
as you see there are a couple which could not be so familiar to beginners: Bm and Fm#. They're not so unpossible to play since they are respectively an Am played with a barre on second fret and a Em also played with a barre on second fret. So the shaping will be:
Bm: 223432
Fm#: 244222
Chord changes
every line, both in the verses and chorus, lasts two measures so as you see the pattern for chord changhes is one measure-one measure-two measures
Strummin:
my friend teached me with a basic
D du D du
pattern for each measure (so it's 1, 2&, 3, 4& count)
but playing it alongside to the cd I guess there are some sixtheen notes involved so I would go with a
1=D
2=D
3=du
4=udu
pattern, even if it is still a bit simplified, Kiss original one probably including some sixtheen notes also in beat 2 (maybe it's D ddu du udu)
Ok hope you like it and let me know any mistakes
Thanks in advance
Matteoverse 1:
D G
And I know how it should be
Bm Bm
There is nothing more for you and I
A D
Some are young and some are free
Fm# Fm#
But I think I'm goin' blind

'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind
Fm# Fm#
And I know how it's to be, yeah
verse 2
D G
Little lady, can't you see
Bm Bm
You're so young and so much different than I
A D
I'm 93, you're sixteen
Fm# Fm#
Can't you see I'm goin' blind
Chorus:
Bm A
'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind
Fm# Fm#
And I know how it's to be, yeah
solo
Chorus:
Bm A
'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind
Fm# Fm#
And I know how it's to be, yeah
verse 3
D G
You're much younger, can't you see
Bm Bm
There is nothing more for you and I
A D
I'm 93, you're sixteen
Fm# Fm#
And I think I'm goin' blind
Chorus:
Bm A
'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind
Fm# Fm#
And I know how it's to be, yeah
I played it again modifying the pattern a bit so it should be
D uD ud udu
Let me know
Matteo
ehm I checked again and I realized that chords change half measure not every measure except for the Bm and F#m parts...so i.e. the first two lines of the verse are
D (2 beats), G (2 beats), Bm (4 beats), A (2 beats), D (2 beats) F#m (4 beats), then repeat the pattern and go to the chorus which is
Bm (2beats), A (2beats), F#m (4 beats)
played twice
Sorry for my mistake but i'm more into patterns than chord changes
Regarding the strummin
it works well
dd/ddu for each chord
Matteo
