For old-time country fans....not a I-IV-V song....
This is "Lovesick Blues', originally a ragtime/jazz song by Mills & Friend, 1922
It became a Country Standard after Hank Williams recorded it in 1948.

I got a [C]feel-in' called the blu-u-ues, oh, Lawd
Since my ba-by said good–[G7]bye ,
And I don't know what I'll do-o-o-o-o-o
All I do is sit and [C]sigh-e-igh, oh, Lawd ;
That [C7]last long [F]day she said good-[F7]bye
Well, [C]Lawd I thought I would [A7]cry,
She'll [D7]do me, she'll do you, she's got that kind of lov-in'
[G7]Lawd, I love to hear her when she calls me
Sweet [C]da-a-a-a-a-dy, such a beau-ti-ful [G7]dream
I hate to think it all o-o-over, I've lost my heart it [E]seems.
I've [C7]grown so [F]used to you some-[F7]how,
Well, I'm [C]no-body's sugar [A7]dad-dy now, And I'm [D7]lo-o-one-some, [G7]
I got the Love-sick [C]Blu-ues.

Well, I'm in [E] love, I'm in [Am] love, with a beau-ti-ful gal
[E]That's what's the mat-ter with [Am]me.
Well, I'm in [E]love, I'm in [Am] love, with a beau-tiful gal,
But [D7]she don't care a-bout [G7] me
Lawd, I [G6]tried and I [G7] tried, to keep her sat-is-fied ,
But [C7]she just would-n't [D7] stay, so now that she is le-e-eav-in',
This is all I can [G7]say : …………..(Repeat First Verse)

Another truly great version was by Merle Haggard on his "I Love Dixie Blues" album of 1973.
This is in C major because that's where I sing it..

I liked Frank Ifield's version in 1963 too.

Wow...someone else remembers Frank Ifield...I'm impressed.
I'm not joking.
British singers who used yodel effects were rare indeed.
