Misguided Angel
Tim & Margo Timmins

D A
1.Yeah I said “Momma he's crazy and he scares me

D A D
I need him to keep me satisfied”
D A
I said “Papa don't cry cause it's alright
D A

D A D
I'll love him the rest of my days

D A
2. I said “Brother speak to me of passion
D A
You said never settle for nothin' less
G A D G
Well it's in the way he walks, it's in the way he talks
D A D
His smile, his anger, and his kisses
D A
Yeah I said “Sister don't you understand?
D A
He's all I ever wanted in a man
G A D G D A D
I'm tired of sittin' round the TV every night, hoping I'm finding a mister right”

D A

G A D
There comes a time when you'll have to break away”
G A D G
He says “Baby there are things we all cling to all our lives

It's time to let them go and become my wife”

Chorus
G A
Misguided angel hangin' over me
G A D
Heart like a Gabriel, pure and white as ivory
G A D G
Soul like a Lucifer, black and cold like piece of lead
G A D
Misguide angel, love you till I'm dead

Any Cowboy Junkie fans out there? The ladys should like this one, but I must admit I like playing and singing this.

Great song, Tim. This song was the first one my daughter heard after she was born - it was in my tape deck when we brought her home from the hospital. Ironically, she was born nine years ago today. And I now realize that song may have been prophetic - she clearly does not care if she pleases daddy. A misguided angel, indeed.

By the way, the Cowboy Junkies are a very intriguing live act. Margo Timmins is chatty, funny and as sensual as she sounds.

Blame it on the lies that killed us, blame it on the truth that ran us down.
