Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - Jack Johnson

I'm kinda struggling with his strummingpattern... you couldn't tell me please?

The key is getting his muting sound down...in this one you'll play the Am with 2 down strokes then mute all the strings with your left hand (by just gently resting your hand on top of them and not pressing against the frets) and hit the muted strings with one more down stroke. Then switch to the Am7 and do the same thing....continue with that progression for the verses.

BTW...just because you're only strumming the strings on the down stroke doesn't mean the upstroke isn't important. You want to keep a smooth rhythmic motion with your right (strumming) hand.....DOWN, up, DOWN, up. Hope that helps.
