This sounds equally as good in standard tuning as it does in there version which is something ridiculous like

Eb A# etc. etc.

Fig 1.

e---------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------
G----------------0----------------------------------
D------------4------4--------------------------------
A-------2---------------2----------------------------
E--0------------------------------------------------

Play 4 times for intro and then 4 times for first section of verse

Fig 2.

e--------------------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------------------
G---------------0-----------------------------------
D-----------4------4---------------------------------
A-------2-------------2------------------------------
E---3-----------------------------------------------

This is second section of verse. (This is all easily explained lower down.)

Fig 3.

e------------------------------------------------
B--------------0----------------------------------
G----------2-----2--------------------------------
D-------2-----------2-----------------------------
A----0-------------------------------------------
E-----------------------------------------------

Fig 4.

e--------------------------------------------------
B--------------0-----------------------------------
G----------0------0---------------------------------
D-----2---------------2-----------------------------
A-3------------------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------------------

Play each of these twice for chorus.

Excess Baggage (Staind)

(Fig 1. 4x for intro)

(Fig 1.)
Well I know the words, but I can't really speak them
(Fig 2)
To you

(Fig 1)
And I hide all the pain that I've gained with my wisdom
(Fig 2)
From you

(Fig 3)                       (Fig 4)
And I'm eaten alive, by what I hold inside
(Fig 3)                                   (Fig 4)
All the things that I live with I can't easily hide

(Fig 1)
And I'm left here with nothing, nothing to live for
(Fig 2)
But you

(Fig 3)
It's not easy to hide
(Fig 4)
All this damage inside
(Fig 3)
I'll carry you with me
(Fig 4)
Until I'm not alive

(Fig 1)
When you look at my face, does it seem just as ugly
(Fig 2)
To you?

(Fig 1)
I can't seem to erase all the scars I have lived with
(Fig 2)
From you

(Fig 3)
I'm so sick of this place
(Fig 4)
This taste in my mouth
(Fig 3)                                 (Fig 4)
Cause of you I can't figure what I'm all about
(Fig 1)
And I'm left here with nothing, nothing to live for
(Fig 2)
But you

(Fig 3)
It's not easy to hide
(Fig 4)
All this damage inside
(Fig 3)
I'll carry you with me
(Fig 4)
'Til I'm not alive

In general play all figs 1 and 2 four times and figs 3 and 4 2 times.

It's true it is very easy, and also extremely effective.
