As we seem to be having a Beatles moment I thought I'd post this one

Straight chords, no frills, fills or licks to get your head around

Written by John, this song is about a young American college student named Richard A. Cooke III, who was the son of a lady named Nancy, who was at the retreat in India at the same time as The Beatles. Richard really did go on a tiger hunt with his mother, and he did shoot and kill a tiger, and this song mocks that event.

C G C
Hey Bungalow Bill,
Fm C Fm G
What did you kill Bungalow Bill?
A E A
Hey Bungalow Bill,
Dm A Dm E
What did you kill Bungalow Bill?

Am C F G
He went out tiger hunting with his elephant and gun.
Am C F G
In case of accidents he always took his mom.
E G Am Fm
He's the all-American bullet-headed saxon mother's son.

(All the children sing)

C G C
Hey Bungalow Bill,

What did you kill Bungalow Bill?
A E A

Am C F G
Deep in the jungle where the mighty tiger lies,

E G Am Fm
So Captain Marvel zapped him right between the eyes.

(All the children sing)

C G C
Hey Bungalow Bill,
Fm C Fm G
What did you kill Bungalow Bill?
A E A
Hey Bungalow Bill,

Am C F G
The children asked him if to kill was not a sin.
Am C F G
"Not when he looks so fierce" his mommy butted in,
E G Am Fm
"If looks could kill it would have been us instead of him."

(All the children sing)

C G C
Hey Bungalow Bill,

Great! Now post the tab for the acoustic intro! :)

Jeff

(I know it was actually a mellotron, but it still sounds impressive)

Excellent Rodders,

And I love the "AYE UP" link to Wes's version of the next track on the White Album. Just like the real thing!

You have to be a real gone beatles fan to remember that.

Chris

The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)
