Hello guys

It's been quite a lot since I last posted some Uriah Heep numbers, so I guess it's about time to update the forum with some Heep!! This time I chose “Blind Eye”, taken from the classic “Magician's birthday” 1972 album. For those who love Heep please check the already posted “Sunrise”, “Rain” and “Tales” taken from the same record and “Stealin” from the 1973 “Sweet freedom” one. Ok first of all a disclaimer: I took the basic chords and the guitar theme (which I've never tried since I'm only about rhythm guitar) from the following site: http://home.online.no/~prannug/heep/heeptabs.htm

which has several excellente Heep chord-sheets.

Chords:

In perfect Ken Hensley stile the verse is made of just two chorus (G and Am), by the way the same chords which represents the whole of “Lady in Black”! The bridge adds just a D, a E and a Bm. There are several ways to play the latter one, if you can not handle the barre, just play like it this

e = 2
B = 3
G = 4
D = x
A = x
E = x

Chord changes: the verse is made of 8 measures of Am plus a G/Am/G/Am progression, while in the bridge chord change every single measure

Time signature and suggested strummin pattern:

The song is 4/4, regarding the pattern I'm not 100% sure but the song has quite a bouncy feel which could be expressed like this

D…u/D…u/DD/..ud..

Or also a simpler

D..u/D..u/D..u/D

What is important is not to play straight eight notes but to give a bit of delay like in blues style or in dotted eights. Ok let me know if you find some mistake
