I'm trying to learn the song based on this tab but having difficulty with the strumming (as well as the interesting chords). Could anybody help me out a little bit?

Going from memory without a guitar in my hands. The strumming pattern alternates between 2 basic patterns (easy to hear on the recording, I think):
DDDD (4 quarter notes per measure)
Or
DDUDD (quarter note downstrums on beats 1, 3, & 4 and 2 eighth notes (down-up) on beat 2 of the measure).
I hope this makes sense in describing it. The easiest pattern for this song is just to do 4 down strums per measure. I think that would still sound okay.
Hoboken? Fun town.

Laoch, Thanks a lot. All downstrokes indeed sound almost good enough. I have also come up with a few variations of my own that sound good, although I might be moving away from how it sounds on the record.
Thanks for your help. And yes, Hoboken is a fun town, but expensive :)

DUDUDUDU
With a tad more emphasis on the down.
