Amp settings, pedal settings, pedal order, feedback? Help!

Alright i seriously need help with my setup. I have a fender american std. strat, fender 212 r solid state amp, boss ns-2 noise suppressor, boss ds-1 distortion, and boss cs-3 compression sustainer. I've never been one to play around with effects or amp settings and have no clue. I've tried hooking all these items up but just get wild feedback and disappointment. I have little time to practice and tend to focus on my actual playing but would like to increase my tone just don't know how. Any suggestions about order of pedals, pedals distance from amp?, volume settings on amp/effects/guitar, feedback solutions, etc. would be greatly appreciated. The amp has a pre-out/pwr-in as well. Thanks.
