hi all,

i'm looking to pick up an amplifier for around US $300-500 that has a built in drum effect. Can anyone advise which brands have this? or if there is an effects pedal you can add to an ordinary amp to get drums, which may be better?

I had a go on a line6 model down at the local music store but it had to many effects (bass, keyboard, etc and the guy said that you couldn't reduce the extra instruments down) but didn't think too much of the thing anyway.

cheers,

Sean

The only amp I know of is the Fender G-DEC line.

Or, maybe try something like this pedal

It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!

Cheers 97reb,

the Gdec junior has exactly what i'm looking for (except maybe looks a bit crap) with the drum effects and no complicated digital interfaces. I'll try to find a shop to try it out and then possibly buy that.

Otherwise, i may go for a nicer looking amp and add that effects box you linked. will see how it goes.

cheers again,

Sean

Just get whatever amp you like plus a drumbox.

I own a Fender G-DEC, and I'm pretty happy with it. If you decide to go with that line, I'd suggest you get the G-DEC 30. Good luck.
