Hi,

I recently sold a Digitech RP50 on Ebay. It worked perfectly well before I sent it (checked it the morning I sent it). The new owner claims that all he is getting is a big hum out of his amp when it is plugged in. From what I can gather, he can still hear the effect. What's wrong here? Could it be a dodgy connection? Could it be plugged into too many other Multi-FX pedals (he's recently bought, according to his Ebay purchases, 3 other multi FX pedals)? As I say, I checked it the morning I sent it and it was fine (I've had it since the RP50 was launched and never had any problems with it whatsoever (through my amp or any other amps)). Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks.

The first thought is that the battery is duff. Tell him to put a new one in.

The second thought is that he has tried it out, decided he doesn't want to keep it and is trying for a refund.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

It was supplied with a plug which definitely worked before I sent it. I think it could be a bad earth somewhere along the line. That sound like a possibility?
