Hi, I've been planning on building a guitar pedal for awhile, and now I have finally got around to looking at some schematics. I have some experience with reading circuit diagrams, so this isn't really what I'm having trouble with. I actually can't seem to find anywhere online where I can purchase the transistors that I need.

I'm planning on building the Et-23d version of the boss od-1

Here's a link to the schematic: http://www.hobby-hour.com/electronics/s/od1-overdrive.php

I tried looking around for the 2SK30ATM-GR (N-channel JFET transistor) and the 2SK30ATM-Y (N-channel JFET transistor). Is there something that I am not understanding correctly about this? Could somebody please help me out? Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you'll get a better answer, this is mine, or I could ask my son later, he deals with Digikey; well I started it. Good luck, let us know.

I have tried in my way to be free.

just google something like "guitar effects parts" or "... transistors"

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Ah, still no luck. I checked on digikey and nothing came up. Maybe there's something that I don't understand correctly. Thanks guys. And, yes, greybeard, that is the first thing that I tried before I came to this board.

Those sound like manufacturer specific part numbers.
I tried the NTE cross-reference ( http://nte01.nteinc.com/nte/NTExRefSemiProd.nsf/$$Search ) and it came back with NTE459 as a match for both (I had to search without the suffix on the Boss part number)
It looks like a bit heavier-duty package, and the pinout may be different, but electrically it should do the job.

I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head
So I looked like I was deep
