Can I play through my Honeytone amp and use the headphone out jack with an adapter to send the output to the input on my VOX ad15vt? I know it might sound silly but I am curious as to what it will sound like.

My concern is not the quality of the sound, rather it is whether this will damage any of the equipment...

Thanks,

ej

You're thinking of using a DI box to go into the AD15? I'm not sure that it will be entirely effective but you can try. As long as you're not blatantly pushing the preamp circuit in the Vox, it should be ok. Just watch your levels. If it sounds like you're pushing it too hard, you are.

Thanks. I do appreciate your help as I am new to all of this. I like the Honeytone and just wondered what it would sound like through the larger amp. I also like the tones from the Vox and don't want to screw it up...

I have a few more questions...

What is a "D-1" box? How would I know if I was "blatantly pushing the pre-amp too hard - by nasty sound?

A Direct Injection box is what you would normally use to plug a bass directly into a mixer or other line level input. What you would actually need is a Reverse DI wich will probably be more expensive than the trouble is worth.
