Heyy there

Here is my current pedal board line up->

Boss TU2 -> Boss OS3 -> Boss MD2 (which I use for a gain boost) -> Boss RV-3 -> Digitech Digidelay -> Digitech Whammy

Basically, the MD2 really isn't designed to be a boost pedal, it's just a pedal from when I was younger and wanted a ridiculous amount of gain. It does the job OK...I DO get a boost for lead work.

However, it's on it's last legs and when I step on it now, it cuts the guitar signal and then faaaaades it back in again...not really what you want whilst breaking into a solo.

What pedal would you recommend for replacing it? I've had a look at the MXR Micro Amp which seems to be what I'm after, but if any body has any other ideas then that'd be appreciated!!

Thanks!

Have a look at these threads in other forums:

and

EDIT ON - if the links don't work, just to to the Forum page, use the search function and type in 'booster' - EDIT OFF

Booster pedals with excellent reputation:
MI Audio Boost&Buff
Barber LaunchPad
Xotic AC or RC

It's a wide field with lots of opinions. Best thing is to try them out....

There are those that would tell you to use your volume knob ...... that said, what about an overdrive pedal that does not effect tone alot like a TubeScreamer or a TS clone of some sort?
