Right, so i joined a band and we have our first gig in about a month. And I'm going to need a pedal for switching between my electric and acoustic guitars.
But i don't know what you really call this type of pedal, maybe footswitch or A-B. Also, i don't have much money and i need to get a big amp as well.
this is the kind of thing that counfuses me http://www.coda-music.com/product_info.php?products_id=1345 "affordable A/B box that enables you to switch your signal between two different amplifiers, two different pedal boards or two different speaker cabinets" but not between two guitars?
this pedal looks about right http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q...ed=0CDMQ8gIwAg #
here is a boss pedal that does more than i need it to http://www.gak.co.uk/en/boss-ab-2/1266
and another one by some company i don't know http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Effects_Pedals/Guitar_Effects/Single_Pedal/sc1595/p6614.aspx
So, some general info on different types and some suggestions would be really helpful and if anyone could tell me what this type of pedal is called that would be amazing.
Thankyou
Any basic A/B switch should do the job.

A/B boxes are simple switchers and don't care which direction the signal goes in. So, you can plug in two guitars and send the signal from one of them to an amp.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
