Hypothetically :D , if someone were to purchase a Danelectro DJ14 Fish and Chips 7-Band EQ Pedal; would they would it go Guitar, Tuner, EQ, AMP or Guitar, Tuner, Amp, EFX loop out to EQ and back into the AMP?

I guess what I am wondering is when do I place an effect in the AMPs EFX loop output and when do I just put the effect before it goes into the AMP.

Thanks
Jim

I'm no expert but I would do the "Guitar, Tuner, EQ, AMP" thing myself. I put the EQ befor the Tubulator ( or Tubescreamer ETC.) I don't know if it makes any difference though  I do the following order: Eq>Tubulator> Reverb pedal>AMP>attenuator> speaker. If I want to add a wah pedal I will just add it befor the EQ.

If you had 2 EQs, you could do both. With one, I'd put it after the tuner, but they can be put anywhere - forrok_star has several, in his line-up.
An EQ doesn't "flavour" your sound, the way a phaser or delay does, it just emphasises or de-emphasises particular frequency bands. Anywhere is right and nowhere is wrong.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

It depends on WHAT part you want the EQ to modify...I have mine set guitar-a/b switch-wah-compressor-EQ. I want to get another fish & chips to put just before my timing effects (delay, echo, etc).
