I FINALLY got a Tascam CD-GT1 from eBay for $50! I have been trying for about 5 months to get one at a good price. It is the older model and not the mkII newer version. It has a plug for a footpedal so you can start/stop loops, etc. It's not a midi though...a 1/4" jack. What kind of pedal would work for something like this? I haven't been able to find anything specifially for this.
Thanks
I think I have something that might work. Its a Punch IN/OUT pedal for a Tascam 424mk3 4 track cassette Deck. The part # is rc-30p. its just a basic on-off foot switch. --the dog

Thanks Smokedog...I found the manual online after I posted this and it said the same thing. Tascam makes one as well as Roland. I believe they are also used as sustainer pedals for keyboards...?

I never thought of using it for a sustain pedal  I just plugged it into my casio WK-3000 and it works great--thanks :D The funny thing is I bought the thing 3 years ago for my tascam deck and never used it once  Maybe you can get one on E-bay a bit cheaper $31 is a bi pricey for a simple on/of switch IMO
