Never used one myself, but I heard a recording done with the G-Sharp as fx processor and it was great. I think it's a well-respected device.

I ended up going for the Lexicon http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-LEX-MX200.html I actually got it from Amazon, $158.

What sold me was the ability (or rather the absence of the inability) to use the dual engine as either effect, no limitations. (eg reverb on reverb, or chorus on flange, as opposed to pick your effect and then pick your reverb.) I have had good luck with Lexicon, so I'm giving it a shot.
