Probably I will fail one more time but I have to try it... one of these days...

Could be a G6 chord? [320000]

It is indeed a G6 chord Nuno, although that's not the voicing I'm using - not sure of the rules of this game, are we supposed to get the correct fingering, as well as getting the chord right? I suggest for now we consider that yes, you're right, and it's your turn, and ask for a ruling from Rod for future reference - Rod, do you need the chord AND the tab of the chord correct (ie the correct voicing) or just the chord name?

The voicing I used was 355030 - and the two songs I referred to are "All Right Now" by Free (that uses xx5030, I think) which was tabbed out by Wes, and "Band On The Run" by Paul McCartney, which uses the standard 320000, tabbed out by, er, ME!

So take it away Nuno - your turn!

Spooky!

I nearly put up "G6" for my turn at this game Vic instead of "Cadd9" and I was going to use Nuno's fret pattern.

If I am not mistaken "G6" is also the last chord played on The Beatles "She Loves You" isn't it Vic?

Been a long time since I played that, but I think you're right - I know it's a 6th chord anyway. Sir George Martin once described it as a "curious singing chord, a major 6th with George playing the sixth and the other two playing the 3rd and 5th." He went on to describe it as "almost a Glenn Miller arrangement"......

Incredible!

Ok, it is a very easy chord but it is one of me favorites. I like its sound in all kind of instruments. It is in a lot of songs and basic progressions:

As for the rules. Well It could get very tricky if we decide to get the correct voicings, so I will leave it up to the poster of each chord. if you want the tab to be correct you must state so in your posting

Got it in one Vic.

I think this was the last chord ever recorded by the Beatles. On "The Ballad of John & Yoko" as the song ends with this. Certainly the last single ever recorded by them as a group. Although not the last single to be released.

Your turn again Vic.

Just to be pedantic - TBOJ&Y WASN'T recorded as a group - Ringo was away filming "The Magic Christian" and George was house-hunting....John sang lead and harmony vocals, played rhythm and acoustic guitars. Paul played bass and drums and sang harmony vocals.....

OK here we go again.....

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=225059 - file is guess that chord......

This one shouldn't be too hard - an extended chord played in open position. There's a bit of "Spot The Riff" in there as well where the chord is picked.....

:D :D :D

Not hard that one Vic, know it well and the riff which kinda gives it away.

I'll hold off for a while and let someone else have a go

I'm going to guess it's an E7 chord, and the riff is from CCR - Born on the Bayou?

OOOPS, sorry, wasn't watching....

Right on both counts Dan....

I was actually playing the chord as 022130, and just picking it for the CCR riff.

OK Dan - you're up!
