i was just curious if anyone knows a good site that shows chord progressions. progressions that make good songs and stuff like that.

Man, this is just too big a question.

Olav Torvund has a superb, but messily laid out site on Chord Progressions.  It'll take you weeks to work through, but contains a lot of meat.

I would suggest you first go through David Hodge's articles on this site.  The best one to start with is probably A Before E (Except After C).

Then perhaps the rest of the articles in the Songwriting section.
