Helpless

Hi! This is my second attempt at a song. I'm pretty happy with it, but I know there's plenty of room for improvement..so comments are appreciated! The vibe I'm think for the song is kind of a dramatic, slowish, "Rainy Season" by Hunter Hayes or "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift and the Civil Wars. I haven't worked with the music much yet, those are just my thoughts while writing. Oh and the song title I'm thinking is 'Helpless'. Thanks:)

Helpless

The rain is pouring down all around,
sitting on the porch  just listening to the sound, 
realizing you and I are slowly loosing ground,
 and I'm tiptoeing everywhere, 
Once broken there is no repair
Of this we're growing painfully aware

Star crossed lovers, forever apart
The world dead set against us, since the start..
