Hey everyone I'M new to the whole forum thing, and i have some lyrics to post and see what you guys think i should do. Keep in mind this is only a rough idea and I'm just looking for assistance in finding some progressions vocally and guitar chord wise.

she loves him he loves her she moves on and hes stuck without her

Its cold without you
you've found some else to warm
if your feelings are true
guide me through the storm

go ahead and steal his heart
tell him about mine
how you ripped it apart
and how he'll loose his mind

you were my everything
what did it matter
my sense of belonging
you had to shatter

Move on without me
just keep walking
you better believe
i love you more then anything

as i hold on
remember your face
think about what went wrong
is our love in a better place?

your voice tells me
hes not the one
in the end you'll see
i shine like the sun

I've no idea of the meter being used within the song so your understanding of how everything fits may be slightly diffrent than mine. That said, it seems to me that the verses do not have balance. The first verse has a 5 syllable count in the first line. Others have 7 and 4. That is not to say that thre is anything wrong with that. There are many songs that have different syllable counts. Its all in the presentation and how each line is sung. So, just reading the lyrics, its difficult get a grasp on how they will be delivered.

First verse
Its cold without you
you've found some else to warm
if your feelings are true
guide me through the storm

Does it make sense to say:
Its cold without you
you've found some else to warm
if your feelings are true for me
then please, please guide me through the storm

you would need to expand a bit on the other verses as they seem to loose a bit and fall into a 4 word rhyming scheme but the begining of the song starts off a tiny bit more complex.

Teamwork- A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.
