Had this floating around for a few days, it needs a lot more work, but I thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who's interested. (I put some stuff in italics to try and explain the sound I'm going for, dunno if it'll help but what the hey!)

Guitar in drop-C for heavy, chugged sound

(whispered over low drum beat and sustained, quiet guitar)
"Embrace the Darkness
Feel it fill you up
Shun the light of hope
No need for forgiveness.."

(drum&guitar stop)
(screamed)

"..You're already done!"

interlude of palm-muted powerchords
moving to a fingerpicked clean guitar

"This situation is out of control
No way to lay the fault at your feet
Something has to give
I think it'll be me"

interlude of palm-muted powerchords
moving back to a fingerpicked clean guitar

"The way that this feels
No substitiute for what is real
I'm giving over myself..."

building of palm-muted powerchords
(screamed)

"to YOU!"

"I see you faking
Through bloodyshot eyes
With every waking
Moment, I see you hanging on
To a dead feeling inside
To a moment that was a lie"

interlude of palm-muted powerchords
moving to a repeated riff over powerchords

"This situation is
Spinning out of control
At my feet
You lay the fault
Giving away everything
For one last breath
Seeing you for what you are
Sitting in the shadow of regret"

back to chorus
"I see you faking
Through bloodyshot eyes
With every waking
Moment, I see you hanging on
To a dead feeling inside
To a moment that was a lie"

Thanks for reading, comments are welcomed :)

some good stuff here mate,
the title suggests that it's quite dark but i like the idea of the way you seem to be building up to each screamed line.does the fingerpicking you mentioned give the build up to the chorus a kinda dirty feel? (that's what i'm getting anyways)
the chorus is good it's distinct and quite in your face but the last line makes it somewhat eloquent. just my opinion of course :D

And i'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it and reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it.- Bob Dylan,a hard rains gonna fall
