Ok, this song also needs ALOT of work yet, so if you have any tips or advice please don't be afraid to post!!!

Why can't letting go ever be simple?
No matter where I go, I still remember
Everytime I see you look my way
It gets hard to breath, my words slip away
Caught up in memories that I can't forget
By all the moments that I don't regret

(chorus)
Nothing can mask the way I feel
The pain won't stop, it's much too real
Nothing can make me ever forget
The way that you just got up and left
Nothing can stop these tears falling down
Just like nothing can make you turn back around

It's times like these when I'm alone
Staring out into the dark and cold
I wonder if you ever think of me
Or did my love for you mean anything?
I tell myself not to cry
To hold onto whats left of my pride
But it's getting harder just to move on
I don't know how much longer I can stay strong

Very simple yet effective lyrics guitargeek. I was wondering what genre you kinda had in mind for this song, just so I could try playing the song in my head, in order to give you better advice.

Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?

nice sentiment but too wordy

here's my take on your first verse. does it flow any better for you? Fewer words should let you ballad the hell out of this song or rock it out. let me know

gram99

Letting go ain't easy
I can't seem to forget
When I see you glance at me
You take away my breath.
I try to speak but my lips shake
The memories still too fresh
of all the moments that we had
none that I regret.

Hey gram99 I definatly like the way the song flows better with fewer words :D So thank you for your advice!!! As for the genre I had in mind, Duffmaster, I definatly have to say that I'm leaning towards something along the lines of a slow acoustic rock song, although I don't know if that answers your question or not.
