penned this the day Marlon Brando passed.
its about him and the best film he ever starred in called on the waterfront.

The hustle and the bustle
of organised chaos
to the untrained eye
its madness
not one staue
no one still
everyone mobile
keeping out of the chill

chorus

oh to be like brando
a superstar yet a recluse
have class and be a contender
always just seem to produce
be mean, moody magnificent
a true legend whilst still alive
oh to be like brando
do you think you could survive?

down on the waterfront
its the place to be
the stories that you here
from men so sincere
as they sing there songs
drink there beer
boys become men every
day of the year

oh to be like brando
a superstar yet a recluse
have class and be a contender
always just seem to produce
be mean , moody magnificent
a true legend whilst still alive
oh to be like brando
do you think you could survive

fishermen and dockers
watchers on the wall
musclemen and thinkers
theres room for them all
you can buy you can trade
wierd and wonderfull things
down on the waterfront
you could even get wings

oh to be like brando
a superstar yet a recluse
have class and be a contender
always just seem to produce
be mean , moody magnificent
a true legend whilst still alive
oh to be like brando
i dont think you could survive.

And i'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it and reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it.- Bob Dylan,a hard rains gonna fall

hurricane,

Theres sometthing I can't put my finger on with this song but I liked it a lot

maybe if you kept the ryhming more consistant for example:

the first verse had it's last 3 lines rhyme but nothing else; ABCDEFFF

then verse 2 was; ABCCDEFE

and verse 3 ; ABCBDEFE

...I like the rhyme scheme in verse 3 the best. And yes I realize songs don't always have ot have a structerd rhyme or a rhyme at all (many don't) but it's just my opinion that this song might sound better with one.

I really enjoyed the "hook" (or what I thought of as the hook) in the chorus

oh to be like brando
do you think you could survive?

nice job

Sally
