don't mind the title, i'm not conceited, i just needed an attractive enough title so people would click my thread. here are some prose stuff and potential choruses (none complete). possible titles are in quotations. don't pay too much attention to the rhythm scheme, i don't think it's too apparent in the format. it'll be clearer when i post the sound. comment back.

[verse 1]
The day I leave this place, I'm burning rubber.
Cut the cans off from the bumper, I am gone.
But don't forget to bet on next time.
Talk about clockwork!

[chorus]
I don't need your intercession,
but I couldn't work a crowd if I were a bomb.
And you're not exactly not one.
Forget fun.
You are the fuse, they are the sun.

[verse 2]
A sip of kerosene's as routine as a kiss between friends.
But we know how both end.
Between the fire and the kiss, there's a smile that says "top this"

"Sorry, Clark, I Love Lex."

Word is out.
You're everyone's everything,
if that means anything.

You can start two lives in three words.
Or end one five.
But that's not my style.

I build it on a high.
Run it on a red light
and end it when the time's right.

But you have the watch,
the clock to forgive me by.

[bridge]

i'm the only thing you finished
without ever starting
all in record time.

you're as convenient as a calendar
to clock the days 'til i come back in style.

Faith and chance are tangled at the horns
asking why you and i coincide anymore.
We're on a balance and gravity isn't in my favor.

Bless that approachable soul of yours
wouldn't doubt anybody with their jaw on the floor
Step right up.
Have a turn.
Have a hit.
Have a swing.
Do anything
to take us home.

"Kids of the Playground" (or "Youth is Wasted on the Young")

Kids of the playground,
remember the time
when you were allowed to sing.
Sing of the good life,
when you were never old enough.

And oh, girl on the playground swing.
Remember the times when you were around me.
I was begging to be a tooth in your smile (your smile)

Kids of the playground, sing.
Sing of the good times
and all the memories
and they'll come running back so fast (so fast)

i
can't come to realize
you're outgoing in all senses of the word.

the bracelet is broken
and i am just hopin you'll take back
what you have earned.

promise in linear fashion
hatred with a passion for breaking things that beat
slam 'farewell' in my face
in a gracious pace
and hope our futures never meet
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

you are a killer
if i ever saw one
but i've seen plenty of bodies framed up with no signature of yours.

do you remember
the month of december?
i got you a gift that you didn't get
but you got it into my head to ged the lead out
baby, you're in my heart and my headlights tonight.

i stepped on the pedal
im not steppin off
so you better get to steppin away from here.
you said get out
i went out
and got a better gun.

"Rehearse 'I Do'"

Did I
miss the
wedding?
Forgive
me for
asking.
Were there
more
cameras in the aisle
than there'd be in a runway?

Did
you
ask
for
this?
Did you pray for
a
diamond
on
one
knee?

Was that
all he
had to do?
Boy, are you understanding!

Hold
your
ground
and
pull
the
knot,
'cause
it's
the only security
you
have
got.

Did I
miss the
wedding?
Forgive
me for
asking.
Did you
hear
an applause in the pews
from people who couldn't put
a name on you.

If you know the lines,
won't you substitute stand-by.
If you know the lines,
now is the time.

If you know the lines,
won't you substitute stand-by?
If you know the lines,
now is the time.

He said,
'Meet me at the altar.
Don't be late.
If you stand me up,
then you're not safe.

Meet 'em at the altar.
Don't be late.
I'd rather know you're safe
than make him wait.

Did
you
ask
for
this?
Did you pray for
a
diamond
on
one
knee?

Was that (If you)
all he (know the lines,)
had to do?
Boy, are you understanding! (won't you substitute stand-by?)

Hold
your
ground
and
pull
the
knot,
'cause
it's
the only security
you
have
got.

Did I
miss the
wedding?
Forgive
me for
asking.
Were there
as many objections
than rejections
of runners-up?

coin my eyes
it's the only way i'll stop
seeing you
no, it's not a metaphor money
though it would be funny
since you'd probably spend that too

coin my eyes
it's the only way i'll stop
seeing you
no, it's not a metaphor money
though it would be funny
since you'll probably tax my tomb

flood my lungs
and leak me at the wrist
it's the only way i'll get over this

'cause one-way tickets
and two-way mirrors
are the best kind of gift
for the worst time of year

"Daywalkers Don't Get the Best Wine"

your only motive is (your own)motive's sake
now i'm lying on the floor sunlit and staked
and i'd drive away
if it weren't only circles we paved
in this town together
forvever
nighttime kids never die
together
forever.
they only live one wallet and bottle at a time.
i never
said never
to you
sit tight.
As long as the moonlight shines
nighttime kids never die
forever.

I
simmer like a gun spout
after a shot or two
at the
bar saloon,
When i
think
of you.

And I
spectate the cabaret
almost every day,
and wonder how girls like you get a job at this place.
Is it your desperation or is it your...

I
don't know
if I
should socialize with the usual barflies.
But
I know
when you
dance up there it ain't for me.

[chorus]
I'm the usual suspect
in this tumbleweed town.
You're the girl
whose smile can only be found in the dark.

Spotlight on the girl on stage,
emotionally making minimum wage.
Your skirt runs higher than the stakes on your life.
I'm your personal wanted poster.
[end chorus]

sheriff,
please
don't
go.
Cutie
doesn't
know
how to show you
a good time
don't impose your liquored words
on her fragile mind

[chorus]
I'm the usual suspect
in this tumbleweed town.
You're the girl
whose smile can only be found in the dark.

Spotlight on the girl on stage,
emotionally making minimum wage.
Your skirt runs higher than the stakes on your life.
I'm your personal wanted poster.

[verse 1]
The agenda written in my eyelids just won't let me sleep.

Do you surrender every thought of me you swore your soul to keep.

A family of four: me, you, my heart, and yours. (no tradebacks)

Let's just say that

You got

ripped off

[chorus]
Oh, I swear I'd be rational

if you didn't have this hold over me.

I'm potential, accidental auxilary.

Oh, I swear I'd be rational

if you didn't have this hold over me.

I'd be a hell a catch if you hadn't already dropped me.

put your hands where i can see em
i don't want you stealing this from me

you're the epitome of alive
Take a chance and die

[higher pitch]
put your hands where i can see em
i don't want you stealing this from me

you're the epitome of alive
Take a chance and die

who you runnin' with?
he's' got you putting stickers on your luggage.

the words we started with
are the ones that'll end us
ones that'll end us:
i love you.

Intimacy
is the shock of you letting me get this close.
Sensation
is just consequential mechanics.

Pre-teen honesty
Nothing to lose
A whole summer to waste
talking to you

Pre-teen honesty
Nothing to lose
A whole summer to waste
talking to you

This is the product of boys trying too hard (sung by dude)
And girls make you think we like it (sung by chick, preferrably Haley Williams of Paramore   :D )

This is the product of boys trying too hard
And girls make you think we like it

WE
TRY
TOO
HARD

AND WE MAKE YOU THINK WE LIKE IT

WE
TRY
TOO
HARD

AND WE MAKE YOU THINK WE LIKE IT

I can relate to that.

Thank you, tavonem.

I think they're okay for a fifteen-year-old.

Anyone wanna give a shot at interpretting?

Thank you, beans.

That's exactly right.

two lives in three words = I love you.

end one in five = Sorry, Clark, I Love Lex :D

"Sorry, Clark, I love Lex," is an actual quote from Smallville. It's from the episode where Lionel Luthor blackmails Lana Lang into marrying Lex to spare Clark's life, and she goes on with the charade and says those five fatal words to Clark.

Originally, the five words were "Sorry, I don't love you." But I'm a big Superman/Smallville fan, so I think the new working title fits so much better and conveys the message much more theatrically than the boring conventional "It's over," y'know?

Finish reading them and get back to me, beans. Thanks.
