in fact you could use this as the chorus and your chours as the bridge. Im hearing slow bluesy verses and each line of the (new)chorus increasing in tempo then pause and release the last line.
Just an idea.

Yeah slow bluesey sort of style I had in mind after I was practicing and practicing a certain strum pattern , this sort of just came to me ...
