Hi- I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend a good book on song writing (it does not have to cover the writing of lyrics) I'm most concerned with knowing the principles of guitar theory, for creating chord progressions and melodies? I'm looking for a book, a web link or something that will put me in the right mind set for writing songs. Something that will help me develop my own blueprint for writing songs.
Does anyone have any song writing tips you could share with me. (for writing melodies and chord progression) Thank you.
Well it might help to check out the Sunday Composers forum once Nick gets it up and running agian.. which I hope he'll do in the enar future. Its specifically designed to get you writing music and progressions and all that. Feel free to post over there and bother the moderators to get it going faster. heh.
