Here is the body design I came up with for my Wizard of Oz guitar:

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

Looks cool Tele! 8)

How about some red glitter, (Dorothy's shoes), some metal, straw, and fur too?

Dan GOnna do the ruby slippers for the fret markers

Red may not stand out on the maple neck. Paint the headstock black and put the slippers there, maybe?

Cool way to trick out your axe, Ron!

I was thinking a Tin Man bridge cover, but if it sticks out too much your wrist will be in a lot of pain to say the least.

Are you having the neck work done, or are you doing it yourself? The ruby slippers sound cool.

I've got some scrap maple from a buddy who builds cabinets and my dremel so I'm gonna practice a bunch and see how well I can do it. If I'm happy with my efforts I'll do it myself, if not I'll call on my cabinet maker buddy for a bit of assistance

COOL!

I just had a thought (scary, yes I know), while you do your tests, you can make a cut-out of the images (with the wood) and use that for a guide. Just put the wood cut-out part up where there isn't any meat on the bit.

Might work!
