I hae the Norah Jones Book to the album Come Away With Me. The tab for most of the songs is the melody line. How do I fill this out to have a complete arrangement?

do you have the sheet music? that would help in notating the chords per measure.

Is it *only* the melody line? And you want the chords? Or do you want a *complete* arrangement with banjo, strings, Eb tuba and tambourine?

PS. I posted something on 'Creepin' in' in ESD some weeks ago

...only thing I know how to do is to keep on keepin' on...

hi pearl

if you have melody only you can take only chord changes from it, so you'd better listen to the recording of the song!

I'm not familiar with Norah Jones but I guess it's slow pop-rock mainly, so once you have the chord changes down you could create at least thee different kind of arrangments:

a) choose an eight notes patterns you could play. Assuming it's a slow number go with D/du/u/du
b) play it with a sixteen notes pattern (I guess it's more similar to the orginal recording since 95% of slow pop songs employs a sixteen notes) like dd/ddu/dd/ddu
c) play it with straight eight notes arpeggios patterns like pimi-pami

Matteo

p.s. of course once you have chosen a model there are several slightly different patterns you could play
p.s.2 if you want a complete arrengment for twop or three guitars choose a differnt model for each one (i.e. one guitar strums sixteen notes chords, another one plays arpeggios)
