I have a 1982/1983 1x12 combo, and the footswitch messed the bed (a kink in the cable that was electric taped several times before I got the amp). Now the reverb won't function if the footswitch is plugged into the reverb plug. I want to get cable (longer than 12ft, to begin with) and re-wire the footswitch. I can't find the appropriate cable. Anyone have ideas as to the appropriate cable for me to look for? Treat me as a complete novice, so if anyone replies with "here you are dummy" and spoon feeds me, I will be very grateful :)
thanks in advance --

I did a quick search on Google for Fender amp parts cable
I found this supply house. try a similar search in your area.
there are many parts dealers on line. you can find new, vintage, NOS parts for just about anything.
does this link help?
Thanks for the link, but the "Rivera" Concert (and a bunch others from that period have a funky footswitch and cable. The cable itself is actually 6 wire, 3 shielded and 3 insulated and the plugs are both 1/4 inch adaptors (1 for reverb, and 1 for channel select). I might actually have to create my own cable (buying lengths of cable, twisting them , and using shrink wrap to seal it up, but was hoping to avoid that prettty big hassle.
^ there's your answer. You could call on the amp builders at AMPAGE forum for suppliers.
Sorry, I'm a little slow. Where can i find that forum? I have been trying to hit a site ampage.org for the past 2 days, but it appears to be down.
ampage.org I just logged on no problem. Sorry. http://music-electronics-forum.com/f10/
