I've just been given a madonna songbook by a flatmate of mine because she wants me to learn 'hanky panky' and i've found that not only is it helping to improve my chord and rhythm repetoir but if i play the brass section it really helps with my sweep and speed picking. I was mildly shocked to be honest, i now give madge and her band alot more credit than i did.
I also found out (through being made to sit watching live clips) that shes not bad at the ole 6-string either.
