Any Alvarez owners out there? Can I get some feedback on quality for a friend of mine? He has a jumbo.
Thanks!

i own a Alvarez RD8c acoustic/electric cutaway .....
Its an awesome guitar I really love it, i got it for a lil less than 300US, case and all, i think it was really worth it. I've done a few open mic shows at my school with it and it played just fine....Alvarez makes very top quality guitars i dont have anyhting negative to say about them....

Julius,
I own two Alvarez guitars (FD60 and a RC10), both are great guitars.
They stay in tune good, fret easy. Construction is top notch. I think
Alvarez guitars are well worth the money.

apefeet...
i have an aj60sc... i am needing new strings... any suggestions?
tonedeaf,
I like mediums on my acoustic, 13's (Martin Maques). Since the FD60
is a thinner guitar it does not have much volume with lights. On my
classical I have been using LaBella medium tension. I use 9 or 10's on
my electric. Hope that helps. Basicly just try a differnet brand with each
string change and find the ones that you like the sound of. Keep in mind
that changing gauges will probably require a tweak of the trussrod.

thanks for the tip... will do
I've got an Alvarez acoustic that I like a great deal. I've also got an Alvarez electric, but I think they've stopped manufacturing electric guitars. They're both fine guitars.
