I had a 4 hour gig last night and I have some pain in my strumming arm. It is just above the rist. On the top if you are looking down at it while strumming.

Just wondered if anyone has experienced something like this. If so, what treatments did you have and how long did it take to recover.

Ice it, for sure. It can't hurt and will probably help, reducing any inflammation. Probably ice it three or four times a day for about 15-20 minutes each time.

Rest it and ice it for the next couple of days and see what that does for it.

If the pain is bad enough to take something for it, ibuprofen is supposed to be better at reducing inflammation than other NSAIDs.

I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on tv, but that's my advice.
