hey, I really wanna learn how to play the blues, and solo with it, and slowly evolve it into blues/rock. Out of these books, would you guys reccomend any of them, and is there anything else you want to mention? Opinions, etc

Thanks alot

Im hoping you guys can look through this and give me your opinion on which is the best. Or maybe, from a different company. Is there anything I need to know about melbay? Has anyone used their books before, etc.

Thank you very much to all who help me.

it is bad assssssssssss

I have always loved lightnins music
It may not be what your looking for. It is taught on accoustic (doesn't really classify as Blues Rock and wouldn't help you much with lead), but as far as mel bay products go I have never been dissapointed. That makes me 2 for 2 with the company

This is a good one to take a look at .

Blues You Can Use

or If you're a little more advanced

More Blues You Can Use

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"

Ill check the book out, it seems to cover everyhting that I want, howver out of the 4 melbay books I listed, Im leaning toward the first one.

Anyone else have suggestions?

I like all books that have something about playing guitar. You can also find some great Guitarnoise Lessons right hear and even a few Tabbed Scales or maybe even finding a good blues FM radio station to practice imitating some of the techniques from some blues masters while your waiting for the UPS truck.

If you are just starting out, that seems to be a good choice, since it says it covers scales and technique. But I really like the song-lessons in Blues You Can Use. Get both! :D
