I just downloaded tabs for two Chevelle songs "Send the pain below" and "The Red" from powertabs. I looks like both are tabbed in std tuning, but I would have thought Chevelle tunes down.
Does anyone know if either or both of these are tuned down and if so to what tuning. I thought I saw one listed on another site as drop D.
Thanks

Oh, they tune way down on some songs for sure. But perhaps not on these two (I am not familiar with these songs)
You should go to the Power Tabs Archive. Download the free Power Tabs Editor. The link will be somewhere on the site. Once you have that, download the zipped tab. You will need WinZip or some other zip program to open it. Then the complete tab will open up for you and you can play it as well. They have about the best tabs around. Most are perfect.

They had tabs for both of these songs.

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
if you are using powertab, go to Guitar and then Setup and it should show the tuning
