Can i put electric strings on my washburn acoustic?

Nope...pick up some acoustic strings. You can get some d'adarrios for about $5 a set.

i used to put electric strings on my acoustic
jsut dont expect the same sound that acoustric strings would give you

I use the same strings...D'Addario's...on my acoustics and electrics, doesn't seem to make much difference to the overall sound...mind you, two of the acoustics have bridge p/u's, so they need electric strings anyway....

Vic, you don't have to use electric strings on an acoustic with piezo pickups. I use .12 guage bronze acoustics on all my acoustic regardless of if there's a pickup.

The only difference between acoustic and electric strings is that acoustis strings are heavier and often made of a bronze alloy. I use Martin 80/20 Bronze Lights.

but yes, you can put electric strings on an acoustic, and vice versa. I once put some really light acoustic strings on my Ibanez electric just for giggles and it sounded interesting...a little brighter, i think
