The guard isn't white. It is protective paper over the black guard.

Thanks, Dali. I promise to get some better pictures, but I have been busy lately and when I get to the guitar, I play it rather than take pictures of it. I will get some up soon.
How does it sound? Hmmm, I would say it sounds most like a 335. Check out the link in my original post, it is a Gibson video, putting the 339 through its paces.
I have lots to sell (but I don't want to). I am considering selling one of my Gibson Les Pauls (I own three, and I have to sell at least one, but can't decide which). I think I am going to part with my American Strat, since I play it least. I have an Epi Sheraton II that I put in GFS "jangle" pickups. Since I own a Rickenbacker, this one can go (but I don't want to, because it is so wonderful to play, when I get around to playing it). Want them?
