Hey everyone, currently I'm learning how to play Vood Child, and I'm wondering if flicking the pickup selector switch is harmful for my guitar.

I'm guessing it is since constantly flickering any electronics is a bad idea, but I just wanted some verification from my peers.

So is it bad?

I think if you've got a decent guitar it should be all right. I did have the switch break once on a guitar, but the company replaced it free of charge -- lifetime warranty. The fault wasn't in the electronics but was a weak spot in the metal of the switch.

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Yeah, a bad switch might break from the strain, but I wouldn't worry. Switches are cheap, and it probably won't break anyway.

I've had to replace a few over the years and will have to replace many more to come. Comes with the territory.
