Hey

THis is rockboy. ive been playing guitar a year and a hafl now
and not to long ago i just figured out what playing by ear is, i had no
clue before because i had no one to teach me. I learned how to play
by hours of playing until my fingers coulnd touch anthing else. Plus
a few beginner books. But if any u fellow guitarist have any songs
to practice my ear training plz drop a line.

Well, won't any song or sound be good for ear training? Pick a song you like, figure it out, play it. Thats all there is to it...

Next time you're in the music shop, pick up a songbook....any songbook as long as it's got something in you know!!!.....focus on one song, then go home, find it in your collection, and try and get the chords (or solo, if you're playing lead) right....you can learn a lot from songbooks, but you'll learn a lot more from playing along with the radio/cd.....

I struggled for years with a certain chord in "Badge" by Cream, tried it as a major, 7th, minor 7th, sus4th....never sounded quite right till Wes Inman tabbed it on the Easy Song Database, found it was A9....once I knew that, could play along with the CD to my hearts content.....
